The precautionary principle of a company refers to the approach it takes to address potential negative impacts on the environment. For Bionorica as a manufacturer of herbal medicinal products, an intact environment is especially important, particularly with regard to the cultivation of healing plants worldwide. We therefore have a vested interest in protecting the environment. Voluntary commitments and guidelines, such as our Code of Conduct for suppliers and our Phytoneering principle, all contribute to this. The latter principle states: “Our actions are characterised by a deep respect for nature. That is why sustainability is a central value of our corporate culture. From the cultivation of our medicinal plants to the packaging of our preparations, every process meets our high standards of environmental compatibility and recyclability.” This Sustainability Report shows how Bionorica lived up to this claim in the 2021 reporting year.
