2 Cultivation cannot be concentrated in Germany, as the required medicinal plants do not all occur naturally in Germany due to different climatic conditions. In 2021, the cultivation of Rumex and Verbena was suspended, as the demand for respiratory preparations declined due to COVID-19 protective measures.
