For the development of new herbal remedies and for further research into established medicinal products, Bionorica operates its own research facilities and maintains cooperation agreements with approx. 500 universities, clinics, and institutes internationally.
Research focuses on therapy areas such as obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, chronic inflammatory bowel disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Bionorica is also involved in further research into the microbiome and in the combat against the progression of antibiotic resistance.
